Drake Angeron - Baseball Instructor

Drake Angeron is a current Division I baseball player at the University of New Orleans. Drake is entering his Junior season (2021-2022 season) as an Outfielder. He earned All-Conference Honors as a Freshman and Sophomore before transferring to UNO. 

  • As a Freshman Drake earned second-team All-KJCCC West honors...Led the Dodge City Community College Conquistadors with a .370 Batting Average, 3 Homeruns, .443 on-base percentage, 73 hits, 57 runs, and 22 stolen bases...Was the only player to appear in all 54 games...Totaled 14 extra-base hits...Drew 27 walks.

  • As a Sophomore Drake Angeron earned All-MIAA honors and led the team with a .341 batting average while tying for the team lead with 43 base hits. The sophomore scored 24 runs and drove in 10 RBI while swiping a team-high 12 bases, eighth-most in the MIAA. He also led the team with 14 multi-hit games, including six-straight games with two or more hits early in the season. The centerfielder was one of the toughest players in the conference to strike out, going down on strikes just 11 times in 126 at-bats, the fourth-best rate in the MIAA. Angeron recorded three outfield assists while converting on 58 putouts.

Haden Erbe - Baseball Instructor​

 

Baseball pitcher from south Louisiana, played his high school ball between Lafayette High and Crowley before he embarked on a wild journey through college baseball. He began his college career at the University of Louisiana playing for Coach Robicheaux before heading to Orlando, Florida to play his junior college career at Seminole State College of Florida. After a successful junior college campaign, Erbe settled on West Virginia University. He quickly became a team captain and leader of the team before having a knee surgery and Covid bring his time at WVU to a halt. He graduated from West Virginia in Marketing and Communications. He played his grad year in 2021 for the UNO Privateers pitching mostly Friday nights. This past summer he coached for the United Baseball Organization and will be playing his 6th and final year at the University of Tampa this spring.

Sammy Benjamin - Baseball Instructor​

 

Samuel Benjamin is a current Sophomore outfielder at the University of Houston. As a true freshman he had 63 at-bats and had an outstanding 2-3 (1B, 2B, BB) performance against Texas University. 

  • During the summer of 2021 he played in the Texas Collegiate League for the Victoria Generals. In the 19 games he batted .315 with 8 doubles, 3 home runs and 10 stolen bases. He earned player of the week honors in week 5 batting .571 and having an OBP of .700 making himself on of the top offensive forces in the league. 

  • Samuel and his younger brother, James Benjamin (2023 grad from Seven Lakes High School) have been training with Mental Master Performance Training since 2019.

Bryce Grizzaffi - Baseball Instructor​

After a canceled freshman season due to COVID, Bryce was sent to play ball for the Victoria Generals of the Texas Collegiate League. While with the Generals, Bryce was named “Mr Utility” for his multiple positions he played on the field. Bryce led the Generals in homeruns as well as innings played. Returning back to “Hammond America,” Bryce entered his Sophomore season where he finished the season batting .295 with 4 doubles, 3 HR’s and 12 RBI’s. 

 

  • Prior to entering college, Bryce was a three sport athlete at Central Catholic High School in Morgan City, La. where he was a three time All District Honoree and twice named to the All State Team as well as named district MVP his senior year. A Perfect Game Top 500 National Prospect and No. 4 ranked catcher out of the state of Louisiana.

  • Bryce started training with Coach Angeron on the Mental Side of Sports at the age of 9 years old.

Troy Tucci - Baseball Instructor​

Troy is a recent graduate (2021) from Rockford University, where he was a 3 year starter from 2019-2021. Previously, he was at Harper College in palatine where he was a two-sport athlete for both years he spent there. Troy used his speed and versatility to stay in the game at all costs, playing nearly every position on the field throughout his collegiate career. Troy also has experience coaching both baseball & basketball to athletes of all ages.

2020: D3baseball.com Team of the Week...Played in 12 games on the season...Tied for a team-leading 4 doubles...Finished with 42 at-bats, 13 runs, 15 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBI's and 2 stolen bases...Recorded a .357 batting average, .357 on-base percentage and a .524 slugging percentage...Went 4-4 with 3 runs scored, a double, a home run and 2 RBI's against Robert Morris-Peoria.

2019: Played in 33 games on the season...Hit for a .275 batting average...Scored 14 runs while bringing in 6 runners...Tallied 9 stolen bases and 4 doubles...Went 4-for-5 with 3 stolen bases and 2 runs scored against Wisconsin Lutheran.
